Job Description
We are currently looking for an experienced HR Director to lead the LivingSocial Human Resources department in the UK & Ireland. Based in our Covent Garden headquarters, the successful candidate will review, optimise and manage the entire HR function for our UK & Ireland team of nearly 300 staff.
Responsibilities
The successful HR Director will be responsible for:
Maintaining and developing our strong company culture. Ensuring all LivingSocial core values are implemented throughout the organisation.Advising and consulting with senior leadership on organisational structure and talent dynamics.Working in collaboration with the LivingSocial Global HR team to deploy company-wide initiatives throughout the UK & Ireland.Managing an existing HR Manager and HR Officer.Driving the overall talent strategy to meet highly dynamic and ever changing business needs.Organising and managing the execution of management and employee training programs.Conducting staff surveys and monitoring employee satisfaction levels.Dealing with any performance or grievance issues in a professional and legally compliant manner.Ensuring all HR policies and procedures are optimised for the business and legally compliant.Providing day to day advice to department managers on all human resource issues, including management of staff, remuneration, etc.Monitoring staff salaries and making recommendati ons to department managers on remuneration levels in line with market rates where appropriate.The implementation of all staff salary increases and promotions where appropriate.Maintaining a succession plan for all departments within the business.Managing all redundancy consultations.Conducting occupational health referrals and providing pastoral support to staff wherever necessary.Required Skills/Experience
The successful candidate for this role will be able to demonstrate the following qualities:
Previous experience of managing an Human Resources team, preferably within a high-growth environment.The ability to quickly establish credibility and respect and build strong working relationships with department managers. Demonstrable levels of maturity, professionalism and gravitas.The ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing conditions in order to generate effective and pragmatic solutions to any business challenges as they are presented.A n understanding of personalities and behavioural styles in order to work collaboratively with staff at all levels of seniority within the business.The ability to inspire the confidence of senior management through timely reporting on all HR related matters. Excellent working knowledge of all issues surrounding employment law and the ability to apply this to a wide variety of professional situations.Familiarity with best practice redundancy processes and experience in mentoring management through any instances where this may be appropriate.Good commercial acumen and an understanding of company finances in order to support managers in resource and succession planning within agreed budgets.CIPD qualifiedCompensation
