IT Programme Manager (Subject to bid award)
Job purpose
We are currently recruiting for an IT Programme Manager, subject to bid award, to lead a portfolio of programmes or projects delivering IT change initiatives to agreed standards and methodology ensuring that all projects deliver the expected benefits to time, quality and costs. Ensure that all project documentation, project plans, risk and issues logs, reporting requirements are provided by all assigned project managers in good time and of a high quality.

success by delivering the benefits of the project or programme Project manage large IT programmes and projects to meet objectives to time, quality and costWork with other functional areas to ensure synergy, effectiveness, and continual improvement of the organisational processes Build a stakeholder map across all projects and programmes Manage and lead all project communication to key stakeholders Responsible for effective communication within and across projects and programmes to all stakeholders To be aware of and support key negotiations and management of external vendors Manage the inter-project dependencies forming the project/programme so that the objectives of the project/programme are achieved in the most effective and efficient manner Initiate and maintain own project plans ensuring that all the details are accurate and up to date Conduct Programme Review s and provide accurate, informative and timely status reports to senior, executive and corporate management Control activities, set priorities and allocate resources for the implementation of a group of projects or a single, large, complex project Develop and support organisational financial commitments and strategies Ensure all projects deliver to agreed methodologies and standards taking corrective action where standards are not followed Responsible for quality management of project products and ensuring these are done in a consistent way across all projects Highlight any breaches of tolerances and take action to rectify across projects Build and maintain RAID logs (Risk, assumptions, Issues and Dependencies) prioritising and building mitigation plan to minimise impact
Knowledge skills & experience
Experience of the full lifecycle of project management techniques, including, bid management, planning, development, change control, problem/issue resolut ion, resource management, communication management, risk and opportunity management and post implementation support Delivery focused with the ability to prioritise effectively, delegate and achieve results Capable of operating to tight schedules in a demanding environment Programme & technical leadership on large scale systems integration work Experienced in progressing through increasingly complex technology based projects Ability to demonstrate consistent achievement in major projects Experience of facilitating solutions with customers/suppliers Accredited PRINCE2 Practitioner (or equivalent e.g., APMP qualification) and be able to demonstrate the application of the methodology in previous projects/programmes. Proven team leadership, coaching and mentoring skills in a programme & project environment Experience of extensive stakeholder management across a diverse business environment Strong experience of managing risk, issues and dependencies and building mitigation plans P resence and impact with the ability to lead integrated project teams Strong analytical skills Highly skilled at developing relationships with customers and sub contractors; persuasive and credible with strong client facing skills Able to manage geographically dispersed project teams, with flexibility regarding travel Team player with strong leadership skills a collaborative style Enthusiastic, determined and committed Confident self-starter, capable of innovation and lateral thinking Interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills so as to enable the candidate to operate effectively and with credibility at all levels in the organisation from the Senior Leadership Team down Must be energetic, flexible and possess boundless stamina, determination and enthusiasm. Graduate or equivalently qualified by experience is desirable but not essential. The candidate must have a solid understanding of a software project management role and within the Facilities Management industry is a benefit.
