Job Purpose:
The IT Services Project Management O ffice (PMO) is charged with supporting the IT Project Management function in delivering system change projects on time, budget and schedule.The PMO also maintains the Project Lifecycle methodology. This role reports to the Head of IT Risk & Controls, and works alongside a specialist with 50 focus on PMO support.
Job Responsibilities:
Support IT project delivery
Work with Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) and Project Managers (PMs) to support their delivery.Typically this will involve facilitating meetings, driving followup actions and tracking statuses and progress against published plans.
Grease the wheels for the team, ensuring a cohesive and coherent approach of the overall change function, supporting effective communication within and between the teams.
Run the project reporting process, producing programme, portfolio and ad-hoc reports.Ensure activities are correctly scoped, registered, scheduled and financed with due regard to their im pact on other activities in progress.
Supporting the creation of, collating and QA review of governance documentation (e.g. project registrations, proposals, closures etc.)
Work alongside, and provide cover for the PMO specialist as required, including
Buck stops here responsibility for time recording and budget accuracy
Ownership of the proprietary time recording system (Prophet), acting as a power user and liaising with support teams for issues, and identifying / prioritising improvements.
Maintenance of programme plans, project registers, documentation etc.
Manage the invoicing process and providing oversight of the procurement process.
Ideal Candidate:
We would be interested in seeing people working in a project co-ordinator, project administrator or PMO role.
Ideally you will have at least 2+ years experience working in this capacity
