1.Take on the project manager role for 2 projects:

i)4G Auction

ii)Project and Portfolio Management

2.Lead the development of the portfolio and roadmap plans for ICT.

-We have a long list of projects that need to be grouped and prioritised and then presented in a suitable format for approval.

Looking for someone with both project and portfolio management skills and who can work on more than one project at once.

Essential skills:

Business case constructi on size/scale, input stream or full responsibility including presentation to Board for approval

Stakeholder management identification/grouping

Planning quality gates, milestone/critical path management, cutover/transition planning, PID, red team reviews

Risk Management including mitigation/contingency (RAID)

Governance including strong change management (negotiate/influence), reporting and SteerCo/Board chair

Leadership including matrix management, setting roles and responsibilities to achieve a common goal

PMO correct tools and processes in place, appropriate skill sets, early communication and engagement with the business

Formal learning

oAgile accelerated delivery, collaboration

oWaterfall sequential design, cost prohibitive

oAPMP/PRINCE2 start-up, initialisation, planning, monitoring, control, close down; understanding the various phases of a project and the tools/techniques which make up their execution

Strategy (planning), design (modelling), transition (implementation), operations (management) an appreciation around Service Delivery will stand them in good stead

Cloud, mobile, collaboration technologies an appreciation of

CSFs understanding of benefits derived, be those financial, environment, service, technically driven

External suppliers managing the interfaces (commercials and operations)

Further skills:

Team player will need to engage proactively with the rest ofICT including architects, BAs, operations and 3rd parties includingLogica our service provider and of course the business!

Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to articulate up to C level

Able to engage at all levels of the business, i.e. client facing

Can work autonomously, a self-starter

Enthusiastic, interest in IT and wider technology

Methodical in their approach (structured/organised)

Technical acumen

Has a personality!
