The 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games offer a fantastic opportunity for the on trade. Our research suggests that over 323m more will be spent in London this year compared to 2011.

As a result we are recruiting for several roles that will be dedicated to the development of our Games fulfilment and service plan. These exciting openings will offer plenty of chances to play a crucial role in helping Bibendum make the most of this amazing opportunity.

We are looking for a Stock and Re plenishment Controller to join us until October and help ensure the operation delivers a first class service to our customers. This is a hands-on position responsible for ensuring that stock is available to support sales demand during the activities and celebrations throughout the summer of 2012.

This demand will be serviced through a dedicated warehouse located at Crayford (operated by our 3rd Party Logistics provider, Tradeteam) and your work location would be flexible depending on business needs.

Your main objective would be to manage supply into the Crayford warehouse during the build-up to the summer and to replenish stock levels throughout the London 2012 activities ensuring that we maintain good service to a small selection of key customers.

Your main responsibilities would be:

Working with Tradeteam to ensure that all products and their respective suppliers are set-up on Tradeteam's computer systems

Ensuring that purchase orders for these wines are placed on a timely basis and support the demand forecast

Where required managing the transfer of required stock from other warehouses within the Bibendum distribution network

Managing inbound scheduling and receipt at the warehouse with the goods-in team for the site.

Co-ordinating with internal teams and external service providers in order to manage discrepancies, shortages and late deliveries.

We are looking for an accomplished self manager with the following:

Extensive knowledge of the importation and control environment surrounding the importation of wine and spirits

Knowledge and experience of best in class stock control policies and principles

The ability to work within an ambiguous and stressful environment

A strong sense of urgency and a can-do attitude

Willingness to take ownership to effectively resolve problems

Attention to detail and numerical accuracy

Strong collaborativ e skills and the ability to develop strong sustainable relationships with all relevant parties in the supply chain.

An analytical approach and strong problem solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent Microsoft Excel and Access skills

Ideally, an understanding of replenishment/forecast planning processes within the food/drinks industry is desirable

You would be working 40 hours a week, 5 days out of 7, and there will be some evening and weekend work involved. Your working hours would be flexible in line with the requirements of the role and it is crucial that you are willing to work some unsociable hours.

This is a temporary contract and we envisage that this position would last until October.
