Our client is a well-known financial technology consultancy which is partnered with several of Londons best known funds. This role involves running all technical aspects of a 3 billion strong fixed income fund with excellent recent performance that is moving towards a different strategy. The fund has grown from 10 to 80 people in a matter of years.

You will be working as Technical Architect on development projects for an UK based client.

Define, optimize and standardize the IT architecture on a global basis within the document/content management area.Evaluate new technological developments and evolving business requirements an d makes recommendations for improved service levels and efficiencies.Act as the primary technical resource to client and IT staffs in all phases of development and implementation process.Plan and organize the implementation of new systems architectures.To provide several solutions related to session handling, clustering, transaction processing, component deployment, security, memory consumption, performance tuning asynchronous processing, scalability, internationalization etc.

Candidates MUST have:

Should have an over all of 10 years experience as a Software Developer, System Designer and Technical ArchitectStrong experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer), System Integrations, and Reporting ApplicationsShould have worked on at least 3 -5 major business or integration applications related to trading, hedge fund management.MUST have proficient in OOPS concepts, design patterns and strong system analysis skills .Experience in handling client communications and or integration partners.MUST have good hands-on experience in database handling using MS-SQL or MySQL or SQLLite.Experience using third party APIs and libraries as part of system integrations.Should have a skill to write generalised API components, unit and regression test scripts

Ideally Experience on SWIFT / FIX / FpML Protocols

Should have worked in the financial domain (Hedge fund, Stock Trading Systems, Risk Analysis). This role suits a consultancy type candidate from one of the well-known outsourcing companies who is looking to run a major funds technology.
