Stand alone HR Advisor for PR firm in Central London. Excellent opportunity for a qualified HR professional to set up the HR function for this medium size PR firm.
As Stand alone HR Advisor you will be responsible for putting in place all HR policies & process, creating employee handbooks, appraisals systems and building a talent pool.
HR Advisor Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
General:
-Act as first point of contact for all HR issues
-Be responsible for keeping all HR systems and records up to date and prov ide information reports as and when required
Recruitment:
-Management of vacancies and online recruitment
-Assisting line managers with all aspects of recruitment including CV screening, dealing with agencies where necessary and scheduling interviews
-Conducting first stage interviews where required
-Corresponding with applicants
Employee Relations:
-Provide advice to line managers on employment legislative matters where necessary
-Supporting managers with redundancy, disciplinary and grievance issues
-Absence monitoring
Compensation & Benefits:
-Full responsibility for monthly payroll co-ordination
-Assisting management with company-wide annual pay review
-Administering health schemes
-Responsible for introducing pension scheme in line with new legislation
Learning & Development:
-Conducting all HR inductions, to include buddy and mentor program
-Ensuring that all new starter and leaver processes are followed
-Co-ordinate internal training program
-Arranging appropriate training where necessary
-Managing the bi-annual performance review process
Intern Program:
-Responding to all applications for internships
-Interviewing all applicants
-Developing and managing intern program
Experience and skills required
CIPD Qualification
Working knowledge of UK employment law
Proven experience of providing HR advice and support to colleagues at all levels
Experience of running first stage disciplinary and grievance hearings
Experience of managing short term and long term employee absenteeism
Experience of maintaining HR systems and producing reports
Experience of coordinating recruitment from putting together job descriptions to making offers and following up references, including interviewing candidates
Some payroll experience would be beneficial

Diplomacy and the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality at all times
