The Community Development Finance Association (CDFA) is the trade association for Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFIs): non-profit financial institutions that lend to small businesses, social enterprises and households unable to access finance from banks.

In the wake of uncertain economic forecasts, CDFA is determined to capitalise on the wave of public and policy interest around social investment, and in particular the type of community finance offered by our CDFI members. We are convinced that now is the time to build a new offer to t hose communities around the UK which continue to be denied access to even the basic financial services as the foundation for local economic development, social equality and new opportunity.

Communications Officer

This post sits within the Policy and Communications unit and requires advanced marketing, communications and PR skills. The appointee will inform government, policy makers, investors, partners and members of the work of CDFA and of CDFIs.

Purpose of role

Raise CDFAs profile amongst diverse audiences through communicating with key stakeholdersManage media relations and develop media campaigns to raise awarenessManage publications and other materials; develop website and social media
