Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a sub-editor to join our in-house Editorial team in London. You'll be responsible for the quality of content published on Ovum 's online platform.

You'll be sub-editing reports produced by our global team of experts on a range of technology issues from the future of social networking to the fight against malware. You'll turn complex copy into accessible and authoritative advice for our global client base.

If you're passionate about standards of English and enjoy shaping copy specifically for the Web medium, this could be the opportunity for you.

Note that this is a sub-editing role; there is no writing involved.

Responsibilities:

Maintain a high level of quality across Ovum's content covering the IT and telecoms markets.

Edit and proof-read Ovum content to make it accessible to a global client base, focusing on report structure and writing style.

Help clarify and summarise the arguments of Ovum's analyst teams.

Ensure the accuracy of our high-value, often forecast-based, content.

Work closely with existing editors on house style issues to develop consistency across Ovums content.

Ensure graphics for reports are appropriately designed.

Participate in the training of analysts on topics such as writing skills.

Work with Ovum's analysts to ensure that content is planned and delivered in a timely and efficient manner.

Experience

Sub-editing experience is preferable, i deally in business-to-business publishing.

Detailed knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Experience of using a content management system.

Knowledge of online publishing methods.
