The government owned bank of a top five global economy seeks a senior researcher/chief economist to join their newly set-up London office. This is a unique opportunity to join the company in its new European venture, providing a considerable degree of autonomy and scope for the individual. Applicants will have fluency in English and previous relevant experience of the European marketplace. Other European languages would be advantageous. Requirements: * 2.1 first degree or Master's in Social-Economics (or equivalent) * Excellent communication skills in E nglish * Excellent report writing ability * Ideally c5-10 years related experience * Other European languages would be useful but are not essential * At ease with public speaking to large audiences and at all levels from junior to most senior * The role will include international travel and meetings with high-level executives, political leaders etc, so gravitas, business nous, flexible attitude and confident personal style are essential.
