Learning & Development Advisor- Part time, Maternity Cover

Fixed term contract, approximately 10 months,
18 hours per week
14,400 per annum, pro rata for length of contract (FTE 28,000)

The opportunity
The Royal College of Surgeons of England exists to promote the highest standards of surgical care. The business needs of the College are complex and require diverse skills and expertise amongst the staff across different functions. You will have the vital role of delivering and shaping the activities of the L&D function, with the aim of equipping our workforce to achieve our organisational goals.
The role
You'll work as part of the HR Team and liaise with employees College-wide as well as external training providers.
Your key areas of responsibility are co-ordinating the internal management training programme (including delivery of certain modules), undertaking training needs analysis across the organisation, and co-ordinating training/funding requests, all whilst keeping a close eye on the budget.You'll also be working with the HR Manager to review L&D policies and develop new ways of utilising e-learning as an effective staff development resource.
Requirements
You need a proven record within a simi lar L&D role, including needs analysis, budget management and the design and delivery of in-house courses.
It's important that you have good knowledge of up to date theory and practice in L&D. Expertise in management development and e-learning are advantageous.
You should ideally be working towards a CTP/CIPD qualification or similar, if not already fully qualified.
