Our client, a major player in Freight Forwarding, is seeking exceptional Business Development Managers with a minimum 5 years UK Freight Forwarding Sales background who is able to identify and develop new business opportunities which will generate the maximum amount of profitable sales through the achievement of sales targets and by making new and existing customers aware of the companys product range.
For the candidate with the right UK Freight Forwarding Sales background (5 years minimum) and a demonstrable proven record of success, the rewards and benefits are what would be expected from such a prestigious company.
There are vacancies in the following regions; Leeds; Manchester; Glasgow; York/Humberside/North East; Heathrow; the Southern Counties and Bradford.
Your responsibilities would include:
Pro-actively generate sales to achieve maximum profitability against mutually agreed sales targets.
Identify and exploit new sales opportunities with existing and potential customers.
Monitor customer accounts to ensure that sales potential is fully exploited.
Establish and maintain effective communication links with other business units to identify all sales opportunities.
Maintain accurate records of all sales activity and prepare regular forecasts and reports to enable effective forward planning.
Maintain awareness of company products and of relevant sales techniques to ensure that the sales role is carried out as effectively as possible.
To research and analyse internal and external market information to enable the business units to identify opportunities and develop products and services which will support business objectives.
