AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN or MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

To support a high volume manufacturing company based in the Bristol area.Easy access off the M4 so candidates based in the South Wales area would also be of interest.

Job Role

Repair to electrical installations and installation of new electrical circuits.

Manufacture and implementation of maintenance, process and production engineering projects to schedule, in line with the agreed strategic requirements of the company.

To be the first point of contact for any urgent site requirements, health and safety, machine breakdowns and building maintenance.

To support, train and mentor more junior members of the team.

Responsibilities

Creation, modification and fault finding with PLC programs

Creation, modification and fault finding with electrical and electronic circuits.

Creation, modification and fault finding with hydraulic and pneumatic circuits

Active participation in Kaizen and CI activities throughout the company.

Undertake general tooling related projects, if necessary, as allocated.

Fabrication of any general fixtures/fittings as necessary

In-house training and mentoring of apprentices and other personnel in maintenance skills.

Requirements

Must have high volume manufacturing experience within a similar role

HNC in an Electrical engineering related qualification.

17th Edition

Mechatronics would be highly advantageous

Knowledge of machine circuitry and electrical supplies.

Hydraulics/Pneumatics

PLC trained to include programming experience.
