An excellent opportunity has arisen working for a leading IT Solutions Provider based in Birmingham.
The successful candidate will have excellent telephone manner and be a very strong communicator, especially with people who have varied levels of technical understanding.
You will need to have a hunger to learn, grow and gain experience, ability to work without close supervision and excellent troubleshooting and diagnosis skills through listening and understanding users needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide telephone, email and remote support
Respond to clients queries and problems in a timely manner
Log calls into helpdesk call logging system
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
Allocate and escalate more complex issues to 2nd and 3rd line IT support teams
Organise and arrange on-site visits for 2nd and 3rd line IT support teams
Monitor and update client systems and networks
Assist in any other general tasks that may arise
REQUIREMENTS:
Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation both verbally and in writingConfident telephone manner and a natural empathy with a diverse range of usersGood analytical and problem solving skillsAn ability to remain calm and good humoured under pressure and work under own initiativeUpon completion, the apprentice will gain world recognised certifications, such as CompTIA A+ and N+.
Candidates with more experience and with the above Industry certifications may be considered for an alternative IT role.
