Our German client, Vecoplan AG, develops, manufactures and markets technologically sophisticated machines and plants for grinding, conveying and processing primary and secondary raw materials in the production process and recycling. The customers benefit from cutting edge technology, made possible by continuous research and development combined with inhouse production. With many own patents and a comparatively wide product range in this mostly dynamic and fast growing sector Vecoplan may be seen as an important market leader acting worldwide with numerous subsidiaries and sales offices. With by now 7 employees the UK sales and service subsidiary is located in Birmingham. For the further growth in UK and Northern Europe our client plans to strengthen the Management Team with a focus on Sales and General Management whereas the present General Manager will concentrate more on the Management of complex projects.
As part of a well-planned training in the German headquarter, you will get to know the structures and processes within the company and will be introduced to customers and ongoing projects. The focus of your job is to organize the daily business of this subsidiary with profit and loss responsibility and sell the entire product portfolio to existing and new customers with the sales-team that you will expand. You will analyze markets, develop specific strategies and penetrate the market in a structured way by involving internal interfaces. Your team has to handle requests and clarify the relevant customer information with the support of central competence centers. Furthermore you will search, train, manage, develop and lead sales distributors. You will use and maintain the CRM system and report in this role directly to the Board in Germany.
We are looking for a manager with first hand sales experience in products like mechanical or plant engineering preferrably in the recycling industry. An academic degree in mechanical or industrial engineering is not necessarily needed, rather a mix of commercial / technical expertise. We need a sales leadership personality that likes to motivate and guide people based on targets. We look forward to a personality that emphasizes open communication, mutual respect, commitment and exemplary cooperation. The willingness to regular international travel is important. The ideal candidate will be based near Birmingham.
The annual gross salary for this position is 80k.
