At Welsh Water, we provide quality drinking water and a wastewater disposal and treatment service to more than three million people. We are the sixth largest of the ten regulated water and sewerage companies in England and Wales and since 2001 have been owned by Glas Cwmru. Uniquely in the water and sewerage sector, Glas Cymru is a company limited by guarantee and has no shareholders. This means that our business is run solely for the benefit of our customers. And to ensure that our customers enjoy a consistently high quality service, we are looking to appoint a Customer Services Manager within our Potable Water Service Distribution team.
As Customer Services Manager, you will oversee a 24/7 service to customers and take ownership of reporting, data collation, compliance with Ofwat regulatory standards and performance management for the distribution team. You will also manage a network resourcing team of up to 12 staff, maximising first time resolutions and ensuring annual service level targets are achieved. Other aspects of this wide-ranging and challenging role include managing the services we provide to the fire services across Wales and working with internal colleagues to build an automated Customer Service Dashboard.
The qualities needed to succeed in this role include a proven track record in customer service within a management position, knowledge of clean water operations and excellent leadership and communication skills. You will also need to demonstrate a readiness to take responsibility for projects and be accountable for their quality and delivery.
