This is an Apprenticeship vacancy in paid employment.

Working within a team, this Apprenticeship will have full funding available only for candidates aged between 16 -18 years old.

No formal qualifications will be required, as full training will be given including the Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care Level 2. Progression within the Company and enrolment onto a level 3 will be considered after successful completion of Level 2.

We are looking for Apprentices to provide personal and domestic support as well as engaging in activities with the residents on a daily basis. Applicants will need to be motivated, pro active, have good communication, interpersonal skills and be good time keepers. While enrolling fully funded on The Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care, you will also be rewarded by working in a role where you can really make a difference to some ones quality of life. So a caring nature and to be understanding is essential.

Care provided by assistants is expected to include care that would reasonably be given by members of the residents own family and is not expected to include tasks that would normally be undertaken by a trained nurse. Normal day to day duties for the Apprentice will include

Light domestic dutiesActivities with residentsAdhering to procedures: Health and Safety, Moving and Handling, etcShopping for residentsGeneral care of Residents
