The Corporate Secretarial Unit is expanding and is already one of the largest in a law firm, forming part of the Core Corporate group. The dedicated team have knowledge on a wide range of corporate secretarial matters and can assist clients with corporate compliance in over 90 jurisdictions across the globe.
As Global Compliance Co-ordinator, you will organise the provision of corporate secretarial services to designated multinational clients as part of the teams cross-border offering.
Key responsibilities:Manage the relationship with the client and local counsel overseas to ensure excellent client service is deliveredWhere necessary assist with the take on and set-up of new clientsEnsure statutory compliance obligations (e.g. AGM documentation) are completed and filed within the statutory deadlines, to ensure entities are kept on good standingInstruct outside local counsel overseas to undertake special work such as share transfers, director changes etcProject manage the delivery of work for clients, sourcing and negotiating fees to ensure excellent client serviceLead client conference calls to review progess, communicate updates and ensure follow up actions points are completedIdentify and implement improvements to key processes to ensure that client needs are met or exceededMaintain a clear understanding of the firm's finance procedures relating to client engagement, as well as finance protocols of the client and local counselUse of project management tools, to ensure a consistency of approach throughout the teamOperate electronic databases to increase the efficiency of the service
Skills and experience
Essential:Degree calibre or equivalent with GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above (or equivalent)Excellent financial and commercial awareness, with a passion for client serviceExcellent communcation skillsStrong numerical and analytical skillsA completer finisher, focused on seeing tasks through to completion and working to tight deadlinesExcellent personal organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workDesirable:Reasonable level of experience from an administrative/analytical background within a corporate or professional services environmentProficiency in a foreign languageA track record of delivering to deadlinesAbility to manage budgets and billing
Key competencies:

You will have a broad understanding of law firm financials and be able to follow internal and client financial processes.
You will be a team player, able to work quickly and can manage high volumes with minimum errors; calm under pressure with an eye for detail.
You will be able to manage workload effectively with an understanding of how your work impacts the bigger picture.
