An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Family Mosaic, we employ over 2300 people, including over 1,500 care and support staff. We are based over a number of offices, from Tower Bridge to Colchester. As well as numerous support schemes across London and Essex. we provide good quality, affordable homes and housing services to over 45,000 people in communities across London and Essex.

We have over 20,000 homes for rent, as well as homes for people with extra support needs, and are also building over a thousand homes every year and are selling shared ownership properties to people who wouldnt, otherwise, be able to afford their own home.

The Role
Take full responsibility for the running of the payroll service for the group ensuring all payments are processed accurately, in a timely manner and all queries are dealt with Manage and develop the payroll team supporting them to deliver a responsive, approachable and quality service to the group Develop a strong strategic presence within the HR team and the organisation Analyse and review current payroll operating procedures to ensure compliance, best practice and ensuring the most efficient methods are employed Manage the relationships with 3rd party providers including the current outsourced payroll provider and benefits providers, ensuring accurate information is provided and received and all payments are met and accounted for Oversee management of pension schemes employed by the group liaising with pension providers and advising management on any upcoming changes and associated implications Take full responsibility for payroll tax matters, managing communication with HMRC, auditors and other relevant bodies, including PAYE Settlement Agreement Benefit in Kind issues, and HMRC dispensations along with a detailed understanding of potential PAYE/NI effects of non-payroll staff benefits Take responsibility for ensuring that all staff costs are accounted correctly working closely with Financial Accounting Ensure all statutory and occupational payments are made, recovered and monitored Provide accurate and timely management information on all aspects of payroll Produce, submit and reconcile all relevant payroll reports including month end, year end, p11ds, p60s, p35s etc. Liaise closely with Finance ensuring all pay elements are clear and can be reconciled with accounts Take full responsibility for administration of loans provided within the group Key Responsibilities

Manage and deliver a comprehensive pay and benefits service to the group Manage the transition from an outsourced payroll bureau service to in-house payroll Manage relationships with pensions and benefit providers, HMRC and other relevant stakeholders Strategically develop the service to support the wider organisational agenda The Candidate
Successful experience of payroll preparation, submission, associated deductions, report filing and reconciliation using a payroll software package Ability to produce manual payroll calculations with sound knowledge of tax and NI and their effect on individuals pay Proven experience of managing a full cycle payroll Experience of liaising with HMRC, internal and external auditors and other relevant third party providers Demonstrate knowledge of how payroll interfaces with financial systems and other organisational systems Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the upcoming changes in pension legislation and the impact on organisation Proven track record of payroll process improvement and the ability to demonstrate the benefits to the service Successful experience of payroll and HR software transition although not essential, would be a distinct advantage Previous experience of Resource Link Aurora an advantage Proven track record of managing and developing a team Payroll qualification desirable but not essential Benefits
