Supply Chain and Fulfilment Officer
We are a young and rapidly growing UK manufacturing company and are looking to hire a Supply Chain & Fulfilment Officer to be responsible for inbound/outbound logistics, order fulfilment and stock management. We have developed a unique product and brand within the nursery industry and have grown rapidly over the past two years with international/national trade and retail partners and also deliver direct to customers.
We are now looking to move to the next level in terms of logistics and fulfilment by recruiting a dedicated Supply Chain & Fulfilment Officer within our small team. We have plans for aggressive growth and are looking for an individual with the energy, drive and commitment to develop this key function within our business. The Supply Chain & Fulfilment Officer is responsible for inbound/outbound freight, fulfilment of customer orders (trade and direct) and stock control/management ensuring high quality, driving efficiency and contributing to profitability. Knowledge of freight logistics and stock control/management processes is considered essential.
Role Objectives:
Manage all aspects of international and national inbound/outbound freight and direct deliveries ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of component stock
Manage all aspects of order fulfilment (trade and direct to customer) and order management
Contribute to the development and management of the in-house direct to customer e-commerce platform
Ensure processes are maintained to monitor and manage inventory on a daily basis. Maintain and develop yoomi systems for efficient inventory management
Work closely with the sales team in evaluating demand forecasts to manage inventories and ensure efficient stock ordering and planning.
Timely stock ordering through liaison with the manufacturing team and suppliers
Manage and closely monitor outsource fulfilment partners to ensure high levels of quality and efficiency.
Work proactively with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of the logistics and fulfilment function.
Work proactively to develop new and existing packaging materials
Set up internal and external tracking and monitoring of services, quality, cost control and timeliness and reporting on all KPIs.
Maintain the highest levels of customer service to internal and external customers.
Experience and Required Skills:
Bachelor degree ideally in a numerical discipline
Minimum 2 years in a fulfilment, supply chain and stock management environment
Ability to manage inbound/outbound distribution channels with constant evaluation and improvement
Experience in retail, trade and direct to customer fulfilment is preferred
Ability to think quickly and make decisions for quick corrective action.
Experience in creating, analysing, and maintaining budgets.
Preferably a self-starter who works well under limited with high degree of initiative and drive.
Excellent communication, written and presentation skills.
Excellent computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical skills. Detail oriented with strong organizational and planning skills.
Able to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
