Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Adviser to join our Bupa Centre in Bristol. Youll deliver a range of Bupa health assessment products to the public in accordance with Bupa policies and procedures. Are you looking for a challenge?

Key Responsibilities

Carrying out Bupa health screening tests in accordance with set policies and protocols

Promoting and encouraging a healthier lifestyle in accordance with Bupas current clinical policies

Giving individual lifestyle advice appropriate to client needs with reference to their medical history and screening assessment findings

Keeping the customer informed explain screening procedures and tests fully and being able to listen and show empathy

Ensuring accurate recording of all specimens and following guidelines on correct storage and transportation (PO/courier/laboratory) where this is required

Liaising with sessional doctors and other team members, to manage the clients screening process and demonstrating a flexible, responsive approach when priorities change at short notice

Following Bupa policy for the collection and testing of client specimens on site

Specific Skills

Ideally, educated to degree level in exercise physiology/sports science related subject. Experience of performing measurement or assessment in a health and fitness or medical environment Accuracy in information recording and management and working to clinical procedure Knowledge of anatomy/physiology in relation to health and lifestyle and experience of giving client advice in a healthy living / lifestyle context Excellent interpersonal and communication skills written and verbal IT skills proficient in MS Office packages
