We are looking for a truly exceptional health and safety professional with the passion and credibility to drive an ambitious health, safety and environmental agenda in a global high technology environment. You will influence decisions at management level across the organisation and challenge individuals and teams to think creatively about their impact on health, safety and the environment. This role would suit an intelligent and ambitious individual, who wants to work in a high technology, dynamic and interesting environment.

The Role

Evangelise health and safety throughout the organisation, challenging management team thinking whilst ensuring thorough processes are in place, and are adhered to, that reflect best practice in the sector, and adhere to OHSAS 18001 Safety Management Certification.Drive environmental performance across the organisation and manage the environmental impact systems to comply with UK regulations within ISO14001.Advise and support the manufacturing functions, global Customer Support team and global Customer base to champion health and safety issues and learning, supporting the successful introduction of new products or product modifications into production and in the field.Drive improvement to eliminate unacceptable risk and to achieve the required safety standards cost effectively. Deliver basic safety awareness training for all staff to a high standard, and ensure that everyone fully understands their safety responsibilities.The successful candidate will have:

Experience of developing and managing health, safety and environment processes in a technically challenging environment;

A practical approach to resource management;

Strong influencing skills, with the energy and ability to engage and motivate at all levels within organisations.

In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and directives;

NEBOSH National Diploma and COSHH Certification. Likely to have a higher education qualification to demonstrate the intellect to analyse, influence and manage.

Confident, assertive, proactive and determined, with the passion and enthusiasm to take people with you.
