Intermediate Business Change Consultant Programme Planner
The Intermediate Business Change Consultant Programme Planners role is to implement, establish and maintain project planning standards and reporting. Working across various projects, youll be able to anticipate the wider implications, and have an understanding, of what the Business is trying to deliver. Youll identify any potential missing components within the project plans and make suitable recommendations for solutions.
For Business Change initiatives this will involve support to Projects and / or Programmes across the entire project lifecycle within agreed parameters of time, cost and quality.
Key ResponsibilitiesProviding guidance to the Change Function by leading and implementing planning activities to enable delivery and tracking of projects across the full lifecycle.Providing management support to Senior Business Consultants in mitigating project/programme commercial or technical issues and risks as well as planning and justifying (in business terms) new projects to develop and implement changes.Responsible for continual improvement of planning processes and tools.Maintaining strategic delivery view of project / programmes in the Change Function to ensure BHW delivery to agreed time, cost & quality criteria. Able to provide these strategic views in various forms of media for different audiences as and when required.Taking appropriate action where project performance deviates from agreed tolerances and recommends solutions to rectify situations and manage stakeholders
Specific Skills Educated to Degree level or equivalent. Suitable Project Management qualification (APM Intro/APMP) and/or PRINCE2 Practitioner qualified with suitable post qualification experience. Extensive experience of managing complex project / programme / portfolio plans via MS Project is essential. Technical skills to create, maintain and execute planning reports as required. Experience of supporting Functional areas in both project and technical aspect of project leadership and delivery, with a proven track record of project management delivery, skills and management of budgets. Demonstrable track record of successfully delivering complex project or change initiatives with in the financial/industry sector. Experience of leading teams in matrix management environments. Accomplished communicator with the ability to influence decisions at management levels in an organisation, together with good interpersonal, relationship management and active listening skills
