Our market leading client designs and manufactures high power electrical resistors used in electricity generation, transmission and distribution as well as in the industrial automation, marine, telecoms and rail transit markets.

Applications for their products include the neutral earthing of MV and HV systems, the dynamic braking of motors and industrial drives and the load testing of batteries and generators.

They supply to large contractors, OEMs and end users throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

They are now looking for a technically competent engineer to join their internal sales department based in Leicester.

In this Sales role you will be responsible for generating profitable business for the company, concentrating on interpreting and understanding customer requirements, preparing costed engineered designs and quotations, offering solutions for resistor problems, promoting the company and supporting internal departments and colleagues in their roles and activities.

The focus will be on customer enquiries from initial contact through to receipt and processing of the order. This will involve a high level of technical understanding and will require excellent communication and presentation skills.

Contact with the customer will be at all levels including estimating, purchasing, engineering and senior management and will be for both the domestic and export markets.

Candidates will be technically competent, preferably with an electrical qualification and ideally have sales experience or a keen desire to learn.
