Sales & Marketing Manager
JOB SUMMARY Assume all responsibilities associated with a Sales and Marketing Manager, including, Sales, Business Development, Strategic Partnering, Product Marketing and Management, PR and all Marketing Communication.
The role will involve developing contacts and relationships at a senior level with potential customers, suppliers and organisations having an interest in the product. Specifically the role will cover:
Develop relationships with the key decision makers of potential customers, developing and expanding business relationships with all customers.
Work with customers to establish their expectations and develop products that exceeds them.
Take the lead with all PR and marketing communications acting as an ambassador and role model for the business.
Prepare sales proposals which meet customer needs and match product capability negotiating these contracts until finalized.
Negotiate sales contracts with the Business Development Managers on major accounts, ensuring profitability.
Complete market research and build a profile of key sales opportunities identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets.
Increasing market share in existing markets and maximising new business development opportunities. Developing plans on how to win customer business indicating what is required by the company to make it happen.
Provide direction to your department by developing a sales and marketing strategy on how to deliver the sales plan as part of the overall business plan.
Provide feedback and market intelligence on competitor products and competitor capability.
Provide feedback from the market on the technical performance requirements of our product (Strengths and Weaknesses). Feeding this into the strategy to drive improvements for future product development.
Provide input to the product design process working with the Design Team throughout the process.
Organise attendance at key exhibitions and product promotional events.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience of working as a strategic Sales and Marketing Manager
Proven sales and negotiation skills together with a proven track record of achieving targets with large tier one industrial organizations.
Good business sense with initiative, drive and enthusiasm hungry to sell and the need to succeed.
A strong educational background (technically biased)
Ideally a degree (or at least an HND) in Electronic Engineering or expert market knowledge gained from experience in design or manufacturing in this field.
A full driving licence
