My client a leading Defence Consultancy are looking to recruit an experienced Modelling and Simulation Consultant to aid and inform the Defence Support Decision. To support a growing level of business in this field, they currently require a highly experienced and professional individual with the ability to lead a team.

Key Responsibilities will include:

The Implementation of Modelling to inform debates and decisions with Defence Support Programmes at all points of the Project Life Cycle.

The Development of Simulation and Modelling tools, predominantly used within the Supportability Arena (including buit not limited to Repair Loops, Spares Availability & Modelling, Reliability Modelling and Life Cycle Costing).

Building Sophisticated Discrete Event Simulations and simple SPAR models from Scratch

Support and add functionality to Sophisticated Cost Models

Candidates should have experience of working within a Modelling & Simulation environment within a Defence Organisation (MoD, Royal Navy, Army, RAF, Defence OEM or Systems Integrator), ideally with previous experience of the Maritime Defence sector. Knowledge of Reliability Modelling and Life Cycle Costing is Essential as is knowledge of software packages such as Witness or Simul8.

The successful candidatecan expect axcellent career progressionincluding the opportunity to regularly present at National and International Conferences, To continually develop their modelling skills in line with industry developments and to progress quickly into a Team Lead role, managing and mentoring Junior members of the team.
