JOB TITLE: Education Consultant / Educational Lead - Maths
JOB SUMMARY: To advise and assist on Key Stage one and Key Stage Two aspects of a digital educational platform.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: To understand KS1 and KS2 curriculum and to experience with using IT and an aptitude for IT and have managerial qualities. Experience with both the commercial world (freelance or full time) and experience in teaching would be an ideal with an emphasis towards teaching.

The ROLE
The successful candidate will be required to:
* Plan and over-see content deliverables of Maths modules for Primary and Secondary products.
* Advise on educational aspects for development and expansion of online, interactive content.
* Consult with US counterpart on future content development.
* Work with producers throughout development (concept through final product) as requested, to ensure content accuracy and sound instructional design.
* Contribute to quality control of content and instructional design on existing content.
* Edit and proof-read specs, scripts and completed activities, learn-screens and topic tools across all subject areas.
* Localise (as necessary) activities, learn-screens and topic tools developed initially for US.
* It is envisaged that this role will carry supervisory responsibility once the initial training and induction phase is complete.
* Help recruit qualified consultants for content development work.
* Delegate and manage content development work of consultants as needed.

The CANDIDATE
Our client is looking for strong Educational Consultants with the following experience:
* KS1 and/or KS2 curriculum development.
* KS1 and/or KS2 teaching.
* Degree in Teaching.
* Writing/editing of educational material for publication.
* Subject area knowledge in Literacy, Maths and Science (specialty in Maths is a bonus).
* Knowledge of current pedagogy in Literacy, Maths and Science (speciality in at least one of these areas is a bonus).
* Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, deadline-focussed environment.
* Leadership skills, problem solving
* Ability to research current trends and practices in education and apply to content and instructional design of online resources.

DESIRABLE
* Excellent IT skills (Excel, Googledocs...)
* Computer-based instructional design
* Experience with EAL instruction
* KS3 knowledge/experience
* Experience managing work of others.
* Copyediting/Proof-reading.
* Great attention to detail and diligent in achieving the best.
