The Eversheds facilities team are responsible for our UK offices to provide workplaces that are comfortable, clean, safe and secure, as well supporting both internal and external clients on a day to day level. Our responsibilities are varied and include: client services, space management, support services, administration and contract management, maintenance of our buildings, environmentally friendly working practices, Health and Safety, property strategy, Business Continuity and a lot more. Effective facilities management combines resources, tangible assets, support services, people skills and activities and all of these factors are integral to the success of Eversheds.

The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing in-house and external service providers to deliver service excellence.

Your key responsibilities would include:

Managing all aspects of hard and soft facilities management servicesManagement and coaching a team of 7 peopleManagement of on site out sourced contractorsBudget management and project managementH&S Compliance including ISO14001 and managing business continuity.Maintaining the property within the terms of the lease agreement.

Due to the nature of the role, offering services to all areas of the office you will come into contact with each team and department within the building, with strong links to the office managers, legal managers and business services managers.

You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and some experience of working in a legal firm would be an advantage. You will be a proven and effective manager and coach. You should have an innovative approach and a sound knowledge of environmental and Health & Safety is required.

You would have qualifications/training to be able to cover DSE assessments, and H&S management such as IOSH, NEBOSH and 18001 would be preferred although not essential. You will have the ability to present in a professional manner, and well as being able to work to strict deadlines under pressure and providing high quality work output. Some experience of budget management would be an advantage.
