The Sales Manager represents the overall interests of the company in a specific business market area. They are responsible for the overall sales effort and the branch Sales Executive team in order to achieve approved branch objectives, i.e. profits, sales goals, policies, standards and practices of the enterprise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic
Inputs to corporate planning as requested, regarding business direction, strategies and marketing plans that impact the branchEvaluates and defines the longer term potential of the specific business market areaRecommends and implements approved corporate agreements to shorter term plans (annual sales budgets), in order to achieve the defined longer term potential of the market.Develops, implements and maintains a high performance sales culture within the Sales Executive Team.Supports and drives close cooperation with the Telesales team to achieve productivity, sales activity and revenue goals Protects and enhances the corporate image through appropriate actions with respect to clients, associates, other businesses and the community at largeAdministration
Interviews and hires Sales Executives Reinforce Shred-it approved sales training programs in conjunction with the District Sales Manager and the Sales Development Team. The primary role of the Sales Manager is to coach the Sales Executives of the Branch to achieve the Branches Sales Growth Goals Assists in the development, implementation and monitoring the branch marketing plan Leads sales team by spending 80 of time in field with representatives to achieve branch sales goals and assists in securing large regional account prospectsStay in touch with clients, sales associates, market place realities, competition, etc.Monitoring
Leads Sales Executives in accordance with the Shred-it Sales Rep activity Management systemProvides formal written performance agreement three (3) times a year for each sales representative on a periodic basisOversees all corrective actions regarding under-performing Sales Executives up to and including termination (with DSMs review & approval)Ensures the appropriateness of training and development of each Sales ExecutiveManages ongoing successful performance of Sales Executives, refocuses and redirects as requiredStays in touch with external conditions (clients, competitors, business trends, new business developments, compensation rates and practices, outlets for shredded materials, etc.) so as to optimize Shred-it in the marketplace.REQUIREMENTS
