We are currently looking to recruit a talented experienced production manager to join us in our success and to assist in driving our business forward.

The Role of Production Manager:

The purpose of the Production Managers role is to take responsibility for the production ofcasting with staff reporting directly into you and to ensure that policies and procedures are being adhered to across the department. You will plan and execute production requirementsto meet/exceed customer's quality and delivery expectations.

Key Focus:

Ability to manage the overall quality, effectiveness and productive capacity of the casting shop maintain an effective and efficient 24hr production capability.Organize work schedules, setting expectations and priorities in line with customer requirements.Ensure raw materials and product lines conform to quality specification.Report on key performance indicators and meet the team performance targets, providing reasoned justification for missed targets and remedial action plans where necessary.Maintain the highest level of product quality.Develop, promote and lead continuous improvement activities.Develop and maintain effective communication links with the Head of Operations to ensure the above.Maintain Health and Safety standards within the Production team promoting a safe working environment.Manage all team members development through co-ordination of training activities and skills programs.Engage with any new or on-going project initiatives as necessary.

To be a successful Production Manager in our business you will need:

Experience in a chemical manufacturing industry preferred.Have the ability to introduce and develop good business systems and processes.Ability to manage demanding situations and to meet deadlines.Supervise and plan recruitment of the best and most suitable people within production.Competence in the use of Microsoft Office.Commitment to accuracy and detail.Self motivated, outgoing, energetic and confident as well as a team player.Strong communication skills.To provide professional departmental leadership, encompassing all aspects of people management and development.
