Reporting to the Region Risk Manager the Risk Auditor is responsible for providing the business with an independent, professional and unbiased assessment of branch operating standards, establishing whether Company procedures have been adopted and ensuring the necessary safeguarding and integrity of Company assets and reputation across both Cheque Centre and Cash Generator Chains

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

To schedule audits accordingly and to carry out full store audits to the current audit formatTo identify high-risk branches and report findingsComplete Audit and Incident reports of a high standard, detailing all audit findings and corrective action plans in order to manage business risksConduct Fraud Investigation and provide assurance to the businessWork with the Branch, Area and Regional Managers to ensure specific branch and network wide issues in adherence to process are fully addressed and problems rectifiedParticipate in regular reviews of the Audit format to reflect the ongoing changes in Company policies and procedures.On occasion maybe requested to conduct other duties as and when requested by the business.

ROLE ACTIVITIES

Operational knowledge of all Company store policies and proceduresStore Operational experience with proven ability to deliver success through operational excellence and in line with company proceduresExperience of the Computer System / PC skillsSelf motivated with ability to work on own initiativeGood Time Management / Organisation SkillsAbility to communicate effectively with all levels in the business, both verbally and writtenAbility to diffuse difficult situations.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Experience: Audit compliance and Risk Services experience preferably Field Based.

Computer/Technical: Experience in report writing and using spreadsheets and databases, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Other skills: Must be self motivated and well organised.

This is a Field Based role, which will involve a significant amount of driving and possible overnight stays and maybe requested to cover other areas within the UK when required.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Technical Knowledge & Skills - proven record of accomplishment of performing an Audit compliance role (preferably a field role) within the retail sector.Adaptability able to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.Building Strategic Working Relationships able to developing and using collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals. Communication can clearly conveying information and ideas using a variety of methods to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
