Grayson Thermal Systems based in Birmingham offers a range of engine cooling, heating and air conditioning systems and fluid reservoirs to bus, coach and specialist vehicle manufacturers.

Role and purpose

Working with the Marketing Executive, you will be required to assist in the successful execution of the current OEM / AftermarketBus /CV business, reviewing opportunities to sell new products to existing customers and researching territories and identifying new targets for the sales team to pursue.

Reporting to the Marketing Executive, you will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of the marketing strategy to develop and increase sales within the current and potential new markets. The Marketing Department is growing and you will be essential to the increased prominence of the department within the company.

Duties / Responsibilities

Supporting the Marketing Executive and Managing Director, this will be a wide-ranging and varied role assisting with the delivery of a range of marketing services, which includes:

- Arranging Promotional Events;

- Content Management of Websites and Social Media;

- Running and marketing of the companys online website;

- Marketing Collateral;

- General upkeep and management of information using the companys marketing database/ email marketing facility;

- Product Marketing Support;

- Working on current year advertising campaign;

- Assistance with implementation of marketing strategy;

Working Hours and location:

Standard office working hours are 0800-1700 Monday to Thursday and 0800-1500 Friday. However some flexibility will be required.

Experience, skills and qualifications

- Possess a Marketing degree or diploma in Marketing;

- Highly organised and able to work to deadlines;

- Preferable experience of organising and coordinating events;

- Experience using database/ email marketing system;

- IT literate:

1) Knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages;

2)Experience in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign highly advantageous;

- Experience of both on and off line marketing would be advantageous, as would both B2B and B2C exposure;

- Good communication skills, including a high standard of spoken and written English;

- Self-motivated and able to use own initiative;

- Quick learner - ability to quickly acquire product / system recognition and a working knowledge of the products that fit each vehicle type is essential;

- A strong team player who recognises the importance of all functions within the business;

- Ability to multi-tasking; the marketing department is small so you must be able to handle a lot of different tasks at one time;

- Totally flexible depending on the requirements of the position;

- You will need to develop the necessary sales / personal skills to ensure both customers and staff are satisfied.
