National Utilities company is looking for SAPs for a contract of 6 months with potential for further extension. You will be experienced in operational aspects of asset replacement, new business and reinforcement both Low voltage (230/400V) and High Voltage (6.6kV and 11kV) UK electricity distribution networks. You should have experience of both underground and overhead networks.

The purpose of the role is to operate on the distribution network complying with DSR standards at all times, the operator will be Senior Authorised on both the overhead line and underground network. Ensure standard techniques are complied with, customer expectations are met and wherever possible exceeded.

The key activities of the role include the following:

Operational role -

Issue and Receive Safety documents in line with Senior authorised person activities under the DSR code. Carry out switching on the HV and LV networkArrange logistics and order plant to deliver projects Updating Team Managers on progress and any potential issues with schemes to enable contingency plans to be prepared. Assisting Technicians to deliver planned works and answering questions or queries relating to schemes. Train and develop other people within the business to achieve operational skills as required.Updating of company systems such as CROWN with relevant information to ensure customer guarantee standards are met. Manage projects to completion in line with Crown and company standardsProvide assistance for the region reacting to restore HV and LV faults if requested.

Milestones for production of schemes will be agreed with the Team Manager. The consultant should notify the client prior to the milestone date if these cannot be met.
