Salary: 28,692 rising to 29,749 after 3 months

About the role

A vacancy has arisen for a Senior Technical Specialist based at Winterstoke Road, Bristol. As part of the Science & Submissions group within the Manufacturing, R&D function, you will report to the Section Manager Submissions & Compliance.

The successful role holder will be responsible for preparing and making submissions to Regulatory Authorities on ingredients, incorporating technical product data as required, as well as conducting specification compliance checks.

Principal accountabilities for this role will be to:

Prepare and make submissions on ingredients & specified technical data to Competent Authorities by regulatory deadlines.

Liaise with market contacts to establish a list of brands to be covered in a submission, resolving any queries with internal contacts as necessary and ensure that a valid, accurate and complete set of data is available for each brand.

Process the data and compile the results in the format required by individual Regulatory Authorities ensuring confidential information is protected to the agreed standard before release

Review the adequacy & accuracy of the ingredient declaration against local regulations and company standards.

Conduct specification compliance checks against internal standards, and national/international ingredient regulations.

About you

To be successful you will need to be highly organised and have a systematic approach to your work.You will have experience of using specialised computer systems and have a good understanding of the Imperial Tobacco Group. You will have excellent communication skills to be able to obtain and collate accurate information from numerous colleagues within the company.As much of this will be within an international, cross-cultural context, additional language(s) will be an advantage, but not essential.

You will need a keen eye for detail.Although part of a team, you will also need to be able to work independently using your own initiative to meet tight deadlines.Experience of working in a scientific/technical environment is desirable, but not essential.You will be an intermediate user of all MS Office packages.
