2nd Line Support Engineer / Support Analyst Financial Services Software Provider. This organisation provides bespoke integration software to financial services institutions. A 2nd Line Support Engineer / Support Analyst is required to provide remote IT Support and Helpdesk services to Blue Chip customers. Due to recent growth in the customer base, the Client Services Group now needs to be expanded by adding a Senior Support Analyst.

The successful candidate will be required to accurately analyse and diagnose fault calls, giving advice and support to clients. This will be a highly varied role and a flexible personality is essential. Previous experience of a hands-on troubleshooting helpdesk / service desk environment is essential as is a passion for excellent customer care. You must have proven analytical and problem solving skills. A passion for software is essential.

The ability to build rapport with customers and show empathy for their challenges is highly valued in this role. You will be required to calmly gain the confidence of the client as you investigate fault calls. To perform successfully within this tight-knit team you must be highly diligent, proactive, willing to take responsibility and detail focused.

Full training will be provided for this role however the successful candidate must have a passion for IT and an on-going desire to increase their knowledge. They will have experience of working with database protocols such as SQL Server, Oracle and Sybase along with an understanding of connectivity protocols. We are not looking for a programmer for this role however an appreciation of the principles of programming is important.

The salary offered is dependent on experience and is likely to range from 17,000 to 19,000 plus benefits plus the opportunity to earn a further 6,000 per year for on call work.
