Deputy Manager
Deputy manager required to join an established residential provider for adults with learning disabilities, challenging behaviour and complex needs in South Birmingham.
Duties will be varied and will include:
* Playing an active role in the day-to-day running of the home, and playing a more senior role in the absence of the home manager
* Produce person centred care plans and carry out risk assessments for the service users in your care
* Ensure high quality care is delivered in line with CQC and company standards
* Encourage independence amongst the service users
* Take a lead role in staff deployment, training and HR issues
* Attend internal and external training sessions and foster strong and professional relationships with external visitors to the home
To apply for this role, it is essential that you meet the following criteria:
* Be NVQ Level 3 qualified. Ideally you will also have your level 4, be working towards it
* Have proven experience within residential care for adults with complex learning disabilities, Autism and extreme challenging behaviour
* Be restraint trained
* Have a comprehensive understanding of person centred care planning
* Be flexible in your approach to work and be willing to work on a rota basis including weekends, nights and long days as required.
