We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager to join the team at Primrose Hill Farm our specialist Care Village in Kings Norton.

Primrose Hill Farm is a unique 39 bedded Care Village which offers residential support to vulnerable adults with a learning disability and other complex needs including autism and moderate to high levels of challenging behaviour. The Village consists of seven purpose built detached dwellings surrounding the existing 15th century Farm House and Barn and is registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide residential care for adults aged eighteen plus.

Working 42 hours per week on a flexible shift system, which will include long days and alternate weekends, the successful Deputy Manager will assist the Registered Manager and the Assistant Manager in the day to day running of the care Village.Offer support in the recruitment and selection of the staff team, manage the induction process and ensure that all the company policies, procedures and legal requirements are adhered to at all times. Participate in assessing and planning to meet the individual service users needs. Conduct audits to ensure that the home is exceeding the essential standards of quality and safety. Offer guidance and support to members of the staff team, conduct supervisions and chair staff and service user meetings when required. The post holder will also take part in the on-call rota.

Applicants must hold NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care and be working towards either the Leadership and Management award or NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Health & Social Care or hold an equivalent care qualification. Extensive experience working in a supervisory role with service users with learning disabilities, complex needs and high levels of challenging behaviour is essential.
