Job purpose

To support the IT department in implementing fit for purpose applications that have been developed to meet the needs of our business.

This role will support the IT department in all software development and release related activities and, in particular, the testing of our products prior to release.

Responsibilities

Assisting the Project teams in the co-ordination of project activities and workshops; Conduct, and document, IT system testing; To document user requirements, when required; To help create, control and manage test environments; To produce End User Guides; To produce IT support handover documentation; To learn, and understand, business process as directed; To work closely with the development team in ensuring a quality product is available for User Acceptance Testing; To aid with general project administration.

Knowledge skills & experience

Knowledge of Testing methodologies (desirable); A good appreciation of how a business operates (Accounting, Sales, Procurement, etc) (desirable); Experience in delivering individual projects or helping to deliver one as part of a team (essential); Database or development experience (desirable) Business or IT related degree (essential); Some work placement within industry (desirable); Evidence in being able to learn new concepts and having a good perspective of how IT can deliver value to a business (essential); Evidence of a desire to establish a career within a business facing role (essential) Evidence of going the extra mile to deliver personal projects (essential).
