Public transport links are plentiful including the local rail station which is 5 minutes walk away. The company also has ample car parking available for staff and visitors. Centaur Studios is a company offering a wide range of media and technology services some of which include: Website development, site hosting, database programming, software development, iOS and Android application development, Logo and corporate identity design, Company collateral design, Marketing consultation, Business training.
We are looking for bright, keen individuals that are willing and able to learn a wide range of related skills.
We would like someone who will ideally have already taken the initiative to learn those related skills in their free time and will be have of a good working range of computer competences.
Whilst at Centaur Studios you will have the opportunity to contribute in many different ways gaining valuable experience across a range of subjects.
'On the job' training combined with on-line training programmes will supplement the training provided externally as part of your apprenticeship.
The successful individuals will be trained and supported to make useful contributions in the following areas:
Quality control of our output, use of analytics, database set-up and entry, content development and redaction, Adword monitoring and implementation. (Including ability to gain certification), image research and modification, application programming, website design and development using Wordpress and PHP. Use of various software packages including ones from Adobe and Microsoft.
In addition they may be called upon to do other duties, such as customer support, as demand occurs.
Essential:
Maths, English and ICT at GCSE grade A-C (or equivalent).
Any ICT qualifications and experience you have should be listed at application in order to give your application the best advantage.
Skills Required
Good PC skills including a knowledge of MS Office and general PC knowledge
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent Customer Care Skills
Good IT knowledge
Good Analytical Skills
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to retain knowledge effectively
Ability to multi task and take on additional roles as and when required
Understanding of the need to work within the constraints of the Desk SLA
Personal Qualities
Team player with the ability to build relationships with both colleagues and external clients
Analytical and methodical approach to working with keen eye for detail
Flexibility within role and flexible approach to assigned work
