Part Time Weight-loss Counsellor

Pay rate: 30.00 per hour

Hours: This role will involve working on a part time flexible basis, and as such candidates must be able to work during evenings and weekends.

Are you an outstanding individual who would thrive on the opportunity to help others to resolve their weight management issues?

As one of our Counsellors you will receive full training in the use of cognitive behavioural therapy and transactional analysis techniques to help our clients understand their relationship with food and enable them to make a long term change to their eating habits.

Main responsibilities:

Facilitate weight-loss and weight-management groups for both male and female clients

Ensure a high quality of service is provided to customers

Maintain customer records accurately and ensure they are stored in accordance with best practice, current legislation and company protocol

Ensure regular contact with Centre Manager providing detailed updates on clients and groups

Deliver our weight-loss and weight management programme in accordance with the Company Manual, Activity Manual and within BACP guidelines at all times

Continuously develop own knowledge and understanding of the company product and the field we operate in

Successful candidates must have:

Qualification in Counselling Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to facilitate a groupStrong attention to detail and high levels of accuracyAn understanding of obesity and weight issuesStrong organisational skills

Desired experience:

Understanding of the BACP framework

Experience of working with addictions

As there will be travel involved to attend counselling groups all candidates must have a full UK driving license as well as having access to their own car.
