An excellent opportunity has arisen at Norbert Dentressangle Logistics UK for a Contract Supervisor to join our team at Northfleet. This is within a pallet sortation operation; the purpose of the role is to ensure Health and Safety standards are met as well as control the labour usage to ensure targets are achieved. You will complete relevant paperwork and any administration tasks. The role includes communicating with both LPR and Norbert Dentressangle at varying levels to ensure the requirements for the LPR contract are fulfilled.

Main accountabilities to include but not be limited to:
Plan and deliver the required volumes with delivery on time, in full and to the required standards
Manage the core operations to ensure the optimum use of staffing, space, equipment and materials
Ensure that Company and Statutory standards and policies on H&S, manual handling and hygiene are maintained and adhered to
Review staffing requirements and implement an effective labour plan
Ensure that relevant training and development requirements are identified and actioned.
Ensure effective communication with team members
Ensure that accurate costings and stock control are maintained
Liaise with the customer on all relevant matters
Ensure accurate administration of the LPR account, including stock control, orders, labour usage etc
Fulfil the Administrators role as required
Liaise with Warehouse Shift Management on day to day issues


The ideal candidate will have:

A strong management background
Good all round standard of education
Excellent all round communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to form constructive relationships at all levels
An ability to lead and get the best out of others
Attention to detail
Willingness to work day shifts, Monday to Friday with some weekends and Bank Holiday
IT skills - Word, Excel
FLT licence (Desirable)
Experience of working within a unionised environment (Desirable)
