Job Role

Responsible for design and release of powertrain components and sub-systems Liaise with suppliers, vehicle manufacturing, core engineering and global program teamsLead, manage, coordinate and develop communications between internal and external stakeholders. Lead development, documentation, deployment and continuous improvement of best practices for process, methods and documentation. Develop and maintain request for quotations with suppliers Maintain project plans Support vehicle, component and systems level testing Create, update and control program specific BoM Coordinate FSU, production and all other releasing (WERS & IVS) activities for program specific TCM Maintain the resolution of any problems which occur within the component development Track, control and report program specific expenditure (engineering resource and supplier engineering costs) Liaise with Homologation team/certification Manage approval of targets & requirements deviation

Requirements:

Knowledge of power train componentsExperience of project management ideally in an automotive environmentAbility to use appropriate engineering development tools e g. FMEA, DVP, 8D etcKnowledge of NVH attributesEngineering knowledge within an automotive engineering system or sub system. Knowledge / understanding of modern materials and manufacturing processes Experience of relevant components, systems, materials and production processes used in the manufacture of the components are idealWorking independentlyExcellent communication skillsWilling to travel as necessary (including outside Europe)
