Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

Permanent Contract

Monday to Thursday 8am-4.30pm, Friday 8am-1.30pm

We are recruiting for a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer to work in this exciting and fast paced 35m sales turnover business. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the supplier development program within the Company.

Key responsibilities include: -

? Rejecting parts back to the supplier and managing the CAR (corrective action request) system

? Analysing supplier capabilities

? Developing and maintaining auditable supplier metrics

? Driving supplier improvement

? Conducting supplier quality audits

Essential Qualities include: -

? HND or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

? Manufacturing and lead auditor experience

? Experience of supplier development and supplier account management

? Experience of leading supplier audits

? Knowledge and experience of quality tools

? PC literate, including Microsoft Office packages and MRP systems

? Ability to read and interrupt engineering drawings

? Practical problem solving skills

? Self motivated, with high levels of numeracy and literacy

? Good communication skills

? Team player with the ability to work on own initiative

Desirable Qualities include: -

? Mechanical or Electrical engineering qualification at degree level

? Lead auditor qualification in AS9100 or ISO9001

? Experience working within an AS9100 manufacturing environment

? Purchasing experience

? Six sigma and lean manufacturing knowledge
