We are a catering recruitment company based in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham; currently we have a position available for a Trainee Recruitment Consultant placing staff on a temporary basis.

The role will include

Using marketing and business knowledge to extend company contacts.

Identifying and evaluating employers' recruitment needs.

Interviewing potential candidates.

In particular, typical work activities are likely to include:

Canvassing (cold-calling) employers by telephone to establish new contacts and their recruitment requirements.

Documenting clients' details and vacancy requirements in a brief.

Clarifying and negotiating salary and benefits relating to the role.

Advertising posts appropriately - drafting and placing advertisements using a wide range of means.

Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates.

Reviewing applications, managing interviews and considering candidates and shortlists.

Monitoring candidates once placed.

Maintaining current records and personal statistics for review against performance targets.

This post will suit an individual who has a Hospitality and Catering background, whether that be in a front of house or back of house capacity and someone perhaps looking for more regular hours but who still wants to be linked into the industry. It could also suit a school or college leaver who already has some hospitality experience.
