Brightside Group Plc is looking to recruit an MI Analyst to join their existing MI team within the Insurer Statistics & Actuarial department. Brightside has embarked upon an ambitious agenda of change and needs to ensure that we have the right people in place to the respond to the rapidly changing environment and to grow our business more efficiently.The Statistics & Actuarial Team is based in Bristol and Gibraltar consisting of the MI, Reserving, Pricing, Product and Underwriting teams.

The Individual

You will be analytical and have an eye for detail. You will have the ability to present data in an effective way for recipients and stakeholders alike, alongside a knowledge of SAS. An Insurance background would be advantageous.

Knowledge/Skills and Experience

* Highly numerate individual with strong analytical skills;
* Experience within a similar role in the insurance industry (advantageous)
* Experience of investigating and manipulating large complex databases;
* Display attention to detail and accuracy;
* Excellent IT skills to include strong Excel (incl VBA), Word, PowerPoint, SAS, SQL (desired);
* Ability to work collaboratively across all business areas;
* Confident and able communicator, both written and verbal
* Team player who is proactive, adaptable and willing to learn new skills.

The Location

This role is based at Lysander House, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol. This location, opposite the Cribbs Causeway Mall is just off Junction 17 of the M5 with free secure parking.
