The Role

Following expansion they now seek to recruit a commercially astute Technical Manager / Calibration Laboratory Manager, responsible for a range of activities. Key responsibilities will include:

Managing the technical aspects of multiple calibration laboratories
Maintaining current UKAS accreditation activities
Complying with ISO principles for all calibration activities
Maintaining a working knowledge of current weights and measures legislation.
Conducting internal audits to comply with management systems
Evaluating calibration results and signing test reports and calibration certificates

Your Background

To succeed in this varied and challenging role you must be able to demonstrate the following:

Five years experience in metrology of non-automatic weighing instruments.
Mathematics, science and engineering HND or equivalent.
Have detailed technical expertise in weighing measurement, be educated in, and experienced with technical measurement issues in laboratories.
UKAS Audit training would be an advantage but not essential.
