The Kier Group are looking to recruit a Part-Time Cleaner for our Facilities Management division.
This position will be based at Northfleet Technology College, in Kent and working hours will be 6am to 8am and again from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday (20 hours per week).
The successful applicant will be responsible for all cleaning within the college according to applicable guidelines using a variety of methods including machinery and adhering to safety regulations.

Responsibilities
Sweeping, mopping and polishing of hard floor areas.
Vacuuming carpets and furnishings.
Cleaning, wiping, dusting, and polishing of surfaces, fittings, fixtures and furniture.
Empty waste bins.
Removing rubbish to collection areas.
Remove graffiti and chewing gum from school premises when required.
Cleaning toilet areas fittings and fixtures.
Replenishing consumable products as necessary.
Clean internal glazing to keep substantially free from loose dirt, smears, finger marks, graffiti, and other marks and deposits.
Securing the windows in all unoccupied areas which you can clean ensuring they are secure when finished, if required.
Responsibility for all keys held for access purposes and ensuring their safe return when finished, if required.
Carrying out duties with due regard to Health and Safety requirements and policies and with responsibility towards colleagues, staff, students and the public.
Deep cleaning of areas as designated.
Monitoring stocks of cleaning materials and timely submission of requests to the Cleaning Supervisor for replenishments to prevent shortages.
Security of the cleaning store.
Such other minor and/or non-reoccurring duties appropriate to the post, as may be directed.
Reporting all accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences to the Cleaning Supervisor and Facilities Manager.
Attending training and meetings as arranged and directed.
Reporting damage and defects to equipment, fittings, fixtures and infrastructure as required.
Undertake any other duties as may reasonable be requested by Kier MS management.
To wear protective clothing and uniform as issued.
The Individual
Self motivated and works well under pressure.
Previous cleaning experience.
BICS qualification (desirable).
Basic numeracy and literacy.
Punctual.
Due to the possibility of contact with Vulnerable Groups the successful applicant is dependant upon a satisfactory Enhanced CRB check.
