An exciting opportunity has arisen with Wesser Ltd, one of Europe's leading Charity Fundraising Organisations. The position of County Fundraising Coordinator is a field based sales role, and offers a fantastic opportunity for any successful candidate to develop and progress further in to a managerial role with our organisation.
As a Company we provide Door-to-Door Fundraising services on behalf of the country's leading first-aid provider, St John Ambulance. Our Door-to-Door Fundraisers visit on average 100-125 houses per day, promoting the services that the Charity provides and asking for continuous support by way of Direct Debit.
The Job Role
The role of a County Fundraising Coordinator is to recruit and lead the team(s) of Fundraisers working in a particular geographical county. Each Team will usually consist of 4-8 home-based Fundraisers living locally and working as self-employed sub-contractors.
This is very much a 'hands on' role and the ability to lead by example and to set the standard is absolutely vital to ensure success in the job position. As well as providing Fundraising services, the successful applicant will have full responsibility for their County, ensuring that all targets are achieved through excellent coaching, training and continuous development of all Fundraisers.
This post is full-time, permanent and salary based with a generous commission on top; working hours extending through to and occasionally past 10pm and also Weekends.
The Skills and Training
The successful applicant will be required to complete an 11 week training period, up to 10 weeks away from home, working with our live-in and local teams, learning and developing in the Fundraiser and Team Leader Job Role, and the remaining 1 week spent in the various departments across the Company with strong emphasis on Recruitment of fundraisers.Wesser very much values attitude over qualifications and experience; what we look for are highly driven individuals who are self-sufficient and have the ability to work from their own initiative. Previous direct sales or fundraising experience is preferable, but is not necessary. Clean UK Driver's license is essential to those applying for positions outside Greater London.
