Our client is looking for an HR Manager or experienced Senior HR Advisor to provide a generalist HR service for managers across the business. Contributing to the HR strategy in support of the business plan and implementing and reviewing the organisations HR policies and procedures in line with current legislation and good practice responsibilities include:

Line management and development of the HR CoordinatorProviding advice and support in the recruitment and selection of staffOrganising induction training programmes to maximise the effective integration of new staffAnalysing jobs and preparing role profiles Advising managers on all aspects of HR including employee relations, disciplinary, managing sickness, capability, learning and development, employment law and best practiceAdvising and supporting the development of policies and procedures in line with legislationAssisting in the preparation of budgets and on-going spend of budgetsNetworking externally to benchmark HR KPIs and salary informationProviding advice on all issues arising in connection with employment legislation Helping maintain performance management processesCollecting and analysing information , communication and culture to identify issues and solutionsContributing to initiatives and projects which are part of the on-going development of HR processesBuilding and maintaining relationships with managers across the businessDesigning and delivering HR skills training to managers Preparing and coordinating the company Learning and Development planMaintaining staff benefitsPromoting the values and principles of the organisation

Person Specification

CIPD qualified or working towards graduate membership or significant HR experience ideally gained at Manager or Senior Advisor levelStrong generalist HR experiencePrevious man management experienceExperience of developing policies and proceduresAbility to coach managers in effective people management solutionsProven knowledge of employment legislation and impact on HR practiceProven knowledge of implementing recruitment and selection activitiesProven knowledge of appraisal and performance managementStrong communication and interpersonal skillsGood problem solving skillsSound judgement and decision making skillsGood IT skills
