We are looking for a Trainee Buyer with a strong interest in FMCG to join our dynamic and growing Commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn and grow your knowledge with a good chance of career progression in a leading UK supplier of fresh produce.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Implement the companys buying and selling policies.

To participate in the implementation of strategic, procedural and practical changes to increase productivity and performance.

To participate fully in the New Product Development process.

To minimise the cost of product supplied to the organisation.

To improve and maintain service level agreements with suppliers and internal departments.

Tenders Assist Senior Category Buyers in preparation of enquiry documents and tender review sheets.

Implementation of procedures and supply agreements.

Negotiation with suppliers.
